Elmo Dreams

i am not an original Elmo fan...
but a friend of mine and her daughter inspired me to make Elmo my daughter's character
(well at least for now, while she can't decide yet for herself)...

so mummy's sticking to her Elmo theme...
been buying a few Elmo stuff even before i gave birth to Yulia...

but i cannot really say i am collecting Elmo...
it wasn't like i am getting out of my way just to get them...

i only get those which i have easy access to...

like those in UFO machines here in Yokohama...

my friends and i were able to complete all 7 colors of the Elmo Dreams!

these colorful Elmos are only available in Japan at the moment...
so i am taking the opportunity to hoard as much as i can from Taito's UFO machines
these are also available in Rakuten, but i dont wanna spend that much
plus the fun and thrill in getting them have made these Elmos priceless
it will be the theme for my daughter's first birthday this coming October...

i have sent home the extra Elmos which i have piled up here in my flat...
i am just glad my daughter's enjoying them!

"happy 10th month birthday Elmo Gurl!
 mummy misses you so much..."

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

My ELMO Loot here in Japan for the little one

Her Elmo Hair Ties, which will have to wait at least 3-5 yrs more
before she can wear them, as they are too big!!!

Elmo Headset with my old Ipod Nano...

Elmo spoon & forks..

An Elmo bag and purses which i got on sale..

I dont have these yet but a friend from Hawaii will bring a few packs of these for Yulia's birthday.. They will be used as toppers for the cuppies...

Her souvenirs will be mini stools like this Elmo on the photo in 7 colors.. :)

Her cake will be Elmo Dreams themed as well... it's gonna be almost same as this one, but the character lollies at the base cake will be Elmo Dreams in 6 colors instead of the sesame street characters.. why 6?? because the Elmo topper will be red Elmo already... :)

and i am so CONTEMPLATING on getting this one for my daughter.. but it will be so much hassle to bring it home.. they might ask me for Elmo's passport and Air Ticket! hahaha!

Venus Raj: Miss Universe 2010 4th Runner Up

Venus Raj is the representative of the Philippines to the 2010 Miss Universe. I remember months ago, when she won in the BB Pilipinas Pageant, she was dethroned due to some discrepancies in her documents. She had to do some efforts to correct those for her to win back her crown... Sorry i did not follow the full details..

Anyway, i still don't understand why some people keep on bashing her because of her answer during the final Q&A Portion... I still think that among the 5 questions given, hers was the trickiest... of everything you've gone through life, you had to choose just one?! and i'm sure she didn't want to bare her mistake to the whole "universe"... and now that she came out clean, she's being bashed for that! not only by other countries, but by her fellow Filipinos... sad huh?!

Everyone was saying she had the chance to win the crown, and it slipped the moment she gave her answer to Mr. W. Baldwin's question... Well, every lady that night had the chance of course, don't they??? And admit it or not, Venus was our savior after the embarrassing scene that Mr. Mendoza did during the Bus Hostage incident... our "pambawi" for that matter!

I even came across Facebook, the same question was asked to US Ex President George W. Bush... Even him, he was not able to give a sensible answer, and just laughed at it...

People!!!
Let's just brush it off and let it slide!!!
She's still the 5th most beautiful woman in the universe!!!

Let's just be happy and be proud of this achievement!

After Miriam Quiambao, it took years before a Philippine contestant made it this far in the Miss Universe competition..

A Filipina Beauty, which every Filipino should be proud of!

But of course, in every competition, there's always a real winner...
Jimena Navarette from Mexico was crowned Miss Universe 2010!

Longchamp "Miajima" - Japan Exclusive

I haven't gotten over my hype over Longchamp...

but now i am quite "calm" since i learned from a friend that the Longchamp Galleries is also available in Dubai... so i asked my most handsome uncle in the whole wide world (read between the lines!) to try to get me one.. i want the large LC with short handle in black... he said he will check on Friday during his off...

but i still went over to Longchamp Motomachi last Sunday to check on it... the SA was very accommodating actually, she even showed me some of the limited edition bags that they have... but my mind was so set into looking for the Galleries..

my eyes were glued to the short-handled metallic in steel... if budget permits, i want to get that one also before leaving Japan...
but then, the Japanese SA showed me the Japan Limited Edition Longchamp... i was not so moved at first, since the "sketchy" designs which Longchamp release lately do not register to my liking at all... such as the Paris, Great Wall of China... I dont know, i want loud designs...

♥♥♥ The Longchamp Miajima ♥♥♥

but when i got home, it got me into thinking that... it could be my souvenir for my stay here this year here in Japan... it's exclusive here in Japan... plus it has the Miajima Torii... a Japanese landmark... i have not been in that place yet, but according to my research online...

------------------------------
Miyajima Island (official known as Itsukushima Island) floats like a diamond in the Inland Sea of Japan. From the misty beginnings of Japanese history Miyajima has been classified as one of the most scenic places in Japan. Out of respect for the Miyajima Gods no one dared to live there. For more than a thousand years, visitors who were mainly fishermen who left the Island at the end of each day.

The first shrine was founded in 593 AD. The land was regarded as so sacred that the famous Itsukushima Shrine was built over the water to avoid offending the Gods. When people eventually inhabit Miyajima Island they were forbidden to till the ground, give birth, die or be buried on the sacred ground. Even today there are no hospitals or cemeteries on Miyajima Island.
------------------------------

i guess it's not a bad choice after all... i am not an LC Collector, since i won't be able to finance it... but i guess it would be a good choice to buy one...

oh well.. i still have a few weeks to decide on this...

the metallic steel seems to be still be calling my name! hahahaha!

Limited Edition Longchamp Galleries La Fayette 2010

i was never a fan of Longchamp Bags...

my first impression was, it was expensive for its very simple look..it's just a foldable nylon bag with leather handles (referring to the Le Pliage, didn't know that LP is just one of their product lines)...

what could make it so expensive...

add that i only knew then the plain ones...

so it never occured to me that i would one day be interested to Longchamp Bags...

until

i saw the Limited Edition Longchamp Galleries La Fayette 2010...

The design and the print caught my eyes..
plus the very sophisticated color!

very "Ruby"! hahaha!!!

since last week, i have been searching about it on the net... only to find out that it is only available in Paris... how sad can that be?! i can't afford to buy from those online sellers...

they cost an arm and a leg!

the mark-up is just almost unbelievable! i asked one seller and told me it will cost me Php14,500.00.. but i can never shell out that amount for a bag, which i know costs only half of that from the stores...

tomorrow, i am going to drop by LC Store in Motomachi Street and perhaps, beg them to order for me! hahaha!

i believe the price of Le Pliage LM in Japan costs just JPY 13,000 to JPY 16,000...

more expensive than European prices, but way cheaper than Php14,500!!!

love at first sight, i guess...

bloody bloody..

it also comes in this color... but i like the black/red combination more..

btw, just grabbed the photos online..
credit goes to the owners.. :)

Contemplating on Kitson LA Bag

i am so tempted to get my own Kitson LA bag...

i dont care if it looks like a teener/tweener's bag...

i like it! and who cares?!

well, it looks very roomy

(at least the size and type i'm eyeing on..)...

surely my 'microwave' would fit in and

those loads of junk which i cant leave behind the house everytime i go out..

plus it's not your usual plain bag...

 it's fully sequined...

it's becoming the "IT" and hip bag here..

i've seen quite a number of Jap girls carrying this Kitson Bag,
and it never fails to catch my attention...

and i am sure it's a rare kind and

will surely catch some stares when i go back to Manila...

Now, my only problem is...

i don't know which color to get! it's hard to pick one...

and for sure my hubby will go ballistic if i get it in all colors!!! hahahaha!

Eeennnyyy....Minnnneeeyyy....♥♥♥

This Cheetah Printed One is also very eyecatching...

And so are these Neon Printed Ones...

plus these with multi-color neon logos..

But these are limited editions.... ♥♥♥

And they also have it in flat tote type..

and the mini tote...

baghag's MAJOR DILEMMA... isn't it???

Review: Chifure

i have been a user of CHIFURE bicake foungdation since 2005.
it was the very first i tried among
the vast choices of Japanese brands.
It may not be as popular as Shiseido and Shu Uemura,
but it's staying power isn't far from those
high end brands they have here.
Also, it is a cheaper option,
compact would cost you just JPY 840,
and the refill is just JPY 525.
it provides medium coverage,
and has SPF 33..
i am a shade 33 with Chifure bicake..

Chifure also has powder foundation which i have not tried yet.
it has SPF 19 if i remember it accurately..

Review: Hadanomy Collagen Lotion

"This super new SANA hadanomy series contains moisturizing ingredients like hyaluronic acid (HA), acerola, honey extracts, as well as the micro-sized collagen supplement (1000mg). With natural aroma fragrance."

When i came here, i was in the search for a moisturizer since i forgot to bring one... and of course, i know that i will be in Japan, home of the best beauty products, so why bother to bring a local one... besides i was on the look for a new moisturizer to try anyway...

This Hadanomy Collagen Lotion caught my interest because aside from the very cheap price of JPY 900, i fell in love with the scent... it has a very relaxing scent... very natural... plus when i ask the SA what were it's contents, i learned that it has HA and of course the Collagen which is very obvious by its name alone... i never had second thoughts about buying one...

I use it every night before i sleep, and before applying make up.. it makes my skin really supple and soft... i also use it on my tummy where stretchmarks are very visible... and i must say it helped in decreasing the visibility.. by the way, i have been using mine for almost 2 months now, and i haven't bought a second bottle yet.. one bottle could go a long way..

i am very happy about it, really...

i intend to bring some bottles when i go back to Manila for my personal use...

Btw, Hadanomy Collagen also come in mist... (easier to apply i suppose.. i have yet to try it..)

Matthew & Melka - TDF headpieces!

i have always been a fan of nice headpieces... of course, every girl wants to be Blair Waldorf! but i cant afford a real Jennifer Behr..

i used to raid Girls Axxessories in Robinson's Galleria before just to score some pieces...

Then I discovered those from Simple Joys in SM Megamall... I became a fan for some time...

Until, I came across melkita.multiply.com...

He's the one behind Mariel Rodriquez's fabulous headpieces...

So I tried to contact Ken, and told him that I was interested with their BELINDA headpiece that time...
He's very accommodating and kind, which i liked very much, but actually didn't expect... coz i thought then that since his works are raved by showbiz people, he might be "busy" to address an ordinary customer like me..

but i was wrong!

He's very nice actually... very down-to-earth.

So, here are a few of those i have now..

Blanquita Headpiece, also from Renaissance Collection
( Ken was so kind to do another one for me.. )

Tierred / Frilled Dresses

Just when I was TRYING to convince myself to stay within my budget for this month...

I passed by Motomachi Street after the mass and found these dresses..

I could not make up my mind which color to choose, so i ended up getting both..

Frilled or Tierred Dresses are so making a come back!!!

I am just glad, they have it on my size!!! Thought I would never find one that would fit me...

Japanese ladies are so freaking tiny!!! How'd they manage that with all the delicious food they have here!

Now I have to stay away from anything that would require me to bring out my wallet and pay!

OH! and did I mention that my daughter is into frilled skirts too.. :)

♥♥♥
